MEETINGS

Strathclyde UCU’s member meetings take place every month or two. These meetings are typically hybrid (in-person and Zoom) and are catered with a modest buffet. This is a great place to raise workplace issues or campaigns, and to speak with fellow members.

Our AGM takes place annually, in September or October.

SUCU’s elected committee meets every week or two.

A Strathclyde UCU member addressing a large group of people (possibly members and non-members) from some steps. The crowd are listening attentively
Screaming on the picket line, with a sign that says "Working conditions = Learning conditions". Screaming seems like an appropriate response to universities trying to blame disruptions to learning on avaricious staff when those staff actually just want universities to provide a decent working environment and reasonable retirement benefits.
Striking UCU members clustered around a flyer reading "Four Fights, One Voice", indicating that while not all academics are affected by all of the Four Fights personally, we strike as one group to improve working conditions for everyone (non-members, too).
Striking Strathclyde UCU members in front of a university building with tambourines (fun!) and signs saying "21%" (probably referencing a pay gap the bearer might be experiencing) and "Living my best #StrathLife this side of the picket line". Some of the people are smiling, but others look (understandably) pissed off.
